Alan served a 30 year career in law enforcement in Washington and Idaho, holding assignments ranging from Dispatcher and Patrol Officer to Detective Sergeant and Acting Assistant Chief of Police. Alan led dozens of International Terrorism investigations with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force for nearly a decade after 9/11, working with a consortium of Intelligence Community investigators, analysts, attorneys, and private security leaders. He now instructs police leadership at the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission and is a published author and speaker on terrorism matters.
