Meeting brought to order at 18:20 hrs. by President Larry Walsh\r\n\r\nAll board members present, 2 members from general membership and attendance.\r\n\r\nSecretary Overly read minutes from past meeting, minutes approved.\r\n\r\nReport of officers:\r\n\r\nPresident; Larry reported his main goal while president is to have the IVIPS regulations changed in regard to private investigators.\u00a0 He is willing to do all that he can to obtain this goal; He is attempting to meet with The Washington State trial lawyers Association in an attempt to gain their support, as well a contribution to the fund. Larry will report back when he has more information.\r\n\r\nVice President: no report\r\n\r\nTreasurer: Roger reported at this time there is $705.00 in the legislative fund with more coming on a daily basis. $9388.48 in savings and $1000 and checking.\r\n\r\nSecretary: no report\r\n\r\nElection of officers: all current board members have all accepted nominations for standing in their current positions. Larry appointed temporary sergeant-at-arms Joe Purcell. Votes were taken by all in attendance the current board of Larry Walsh as president, John Tost as vice president, Roger Montgomery as treasurer and Toby overly as secretary will stand for an additional term.\r\n\r\nUnfinished business: Larry spoke with ISPLA legislative chair regarding contributions to the IVIPS fund, they stated they will likely contribute. It was also discussed anyone who can should attempt to solicit any attorney contacts they have possibly contribute to the fund, as\u00a0 if the law is changed it will also exempt attorneys from the 24-hour notice.\r\n\r\nNew business: Gordon Medley webmaster was in attendance to discuss website issues. Larry brought up the current fee of $600.00 has now been changed to $840.00 per year. Gordon advised the board he had purchased software specifically for PNAI and this is the reason for the increase Larry stated he wanted to confirm that if any software purchase for PNAI that may have been used for an additional website that PNAI should receive a discount. Gordon agreed to this this point Larry motioned we increase the fee to the $840 per year motion was seconded and passed. Also discussed was attempting to obtain advertising for the site to generate revenue for PNAI. Gordon stated\u00a0 the more hits on our website the more we can ask for advertising fees as this is proof to the advertiser that they\u2019ll be getting their money\u2019s worth and we can demand a higher fee. The website has been greatly improved by Gordon and we are showing more and more activity on a monthly basis.\r\n\r\nAlso discussed under new business was the spring seminar Roger stated he has a friend who is a PI and Chinese culturist Allen Lai who is willing to speak Seminar. Roger motioned PNAI should offer a 50% discount for students wishing to attend the seminar. Larry seconded, motion passed.\r\n\r\nAnd ethics panel was also discussed no specific persons were defined at this time. Additional ideas:\r\n\r\nInvestigator safety and survival\r\n\r\nVikki from Insurancetek\r\n\r\nAdditional ideas to the tabled for next meeting.\r\n\r\nJoe Purcell asked if we have a current list of all members old and new in an attempt to confirm that all members listed on the website are in good standing. John stated we do have a current list. Larry brought up background checks for new and old members. Alexis offered to perform background checks. Larry motioned a fee of $10 for old members and $25 for new members shall be paid to Alexis Montgomery at the board\u2019s request, seconded by Joe, passed.
